I started Maria’s 12-week program while simultaneously starting a new full-time job after maternity leave with two daughters, two years apart. I felt in very good hands with Maria, and I knew I could open up completely and receive the most useful and impressive guidance from her. The results of this program speak for themselves. I lost weight (not dramatic amounts, but notable, and I now feel on the right track), my triglyceride levels improved, I got rid of panic attacks, and I learned to manage stress in a demanding work environment. I now know in order to reach my goal of improved health, I know there is no quick fix, diet, or program. It comes from incremental steps that, over time, will have lasting effects. Maria's coaching style made it so easy to be upfront and honest from the very start. I learned more about the importance of nutrient-dense food options and which foods added more value to my meals. I can now better tune in to my body and understand how to balance and prioritize "me time," food, rest, exercise, and stress. I really appreciated having Maria hold me accountable and remind me to focus on all the small wins and progress along the way.
I really appreciated the holistic view on health that Maria's program offers. I originally thought my challenges were only related to food and exercise, but then I discovered that my root cause was actually my high-stress level that impacts my behaviours on a daily basis. This was a transformational experience for me and I truly discovered a part of me that I didn't know existed. I learned how to slow down in all aspects of life and become more aware of my needs. The weekly actions helped me lower stress, return to hobbies I enjoy, and change my relationship with food by adding healthier options without feeling restricted. All the small steps along the way added up to a big change for me in the end and I feel motivated and inspired to keep going for myself and also for my family.
